3A - Your Entrepreneurship Story
Exposure to Entrepreneurship
One time where I was exposed to entrepreneurship was when one of my fraternity brothers started his own clothing company. The clothing company makes t-shirts that are made for the gym. My fraternity brother started this business because he wanted to raise money to help pay for one of his friend's medical bills. As far as finding a legitimate way to raise money went, this was a great idea on his part, as there's a large amount of students at the school that exercise and are willing to purchase more gear. I was able to observe the process my fraternity brother went through to get the business up and running. This gave me a very basic understanding of what it takes to start a business and the time that's required.
Below is an image of the different t-shirts that the company offers.
Why I enrolled in ENT3003
My fraternity brother's initiative to start his own company sparked my interest in entrepreneurship. While I was able to get my feet wet watching my friend create his company, I took this course wanting to take a deeper dive into the entrepreneurial process as a whole. So far, this course has been great, and I believe I will continue to learn a lot from it as it progresses throughout the semester.

Hey Michael! I think that's so admirable that the main motivation behind your fraternity brother's business was to help out one of his friends that was in need. Getting to watch someone experience the process of starting their own business from the start must have been extremely useful in understanding the effort and the dedication that goes into making something successful!
ReplyDeleteHey Michael! I think this is a great example of turning a simple idea into entrepreneurship, and a great cause to raise money for! I have a few friends who have turned their own artwork/clothing into a personal business, its definitely an interesting process. I feel as though the most difficult part of doing so is building a large network of people willing to either buy or share your product, once you've achieved that, it gets much easier.
